About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Ground Infra Services at Project Kuiper is responsible for overseeing the development and management of ground infrastructure necessary for the launch and expansion of broadband services globally. This role involves strategic planning, financial management, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure timely delivery of over 450 sites across more than 60 countries by 2030. The position requires navigating complex operational challenges and maintaining accountability across various teams to meet project milestones.

Responsibilities

• Developing country strategy to provide ground capacity for service launch/expansion.
• Tracking Gateways delivery health and holding owners across a dozen teams accountable and escalating when risk arises.
• Managing finances of each site.
• Coordinating legal entities and proper licenses for each site.
• Effectively navigating operational complexities in different countries, many of which Amazon has no presence in, that have language and cultural barriers.
• Communicating the progress and challenges within the working team and during VP level MBRs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
