About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Ground Infra Services at Project Kuiper is responsible for managing the delivery of ground infrastructure globally to support the initiative's mission of increasing global broadband access through a satellite constellation. This role involves developing country strategies, tracking project delivery health, managing finances, and navigating operational complexities in various countries. The position requires collaboration across multiple teams and effective communication of progress and challenges to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

• Developing country strategy to provide ground capacity for service launch/expansion.
• Tracking Gateways delivery health and holding owners across a dozen teams accountable and escalating when risk arises.
• Managing finances of each site.
• Coordinating legal entities and proper licenses for each site.
• Effectively navigating operational complexities in different countries, many of which Amazon has no presence in, that have language and cultural barriers.
• Communicating the progress and challenges within the working team and during VP level MBRs.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience
• 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
