About the position

As a Technical Program Manager I at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects that drive process and system integration within the spatial flexibility organization. Your role will involve collaborating with various stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, and communicate effectively across teams. You will leverage your technical expertise to ensure successful project outcomes while fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide software development and project management, cross-functional coordination, and team communications to deliver outstanding program outcomes.
  • Work with Software Engineers, Quality Assurance, Product Managers, and other Engineering and Business teams to get quality products and features through the software project life-cycle (e.g., build, test and release on time).
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues and communicate to technical infrastructure stakeholders, while keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead technical programs for the spatial flexibility organization, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading cross-functional teams to take products to market, and ensuring success metrics inform future efforts.
  • Drive portfolio of technical projects and multi-quarter roadmap across spatial flexibility for tools/framework development, building infrastructure and process improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program or project management.
  • Experience building, automating, and developing distributed systems.
  • Experience in technical cross-functional projects.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in technical program management.
  • Experience in optimizing project scope, cost, time, and quality to achieve program objectives.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity, and work comfortably in growing or changing environments.
  • Ability to explain concepts to reach broader audiences.
