About the position

The Technical Program Manager II at Amazon Robotics will play a crucial role in leading hardware and software projects from post-Beta through End of Life phases. This position focuses on improving efficiency, reducing costs, and enhancing performance for Amazon's next-generation fulfillment and sortation centers. The TPM will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful project execution and delivery, making a significant impact on customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the effective, efficient, and collaborative delivery of cross-functional projects
  • Interact with Systems & SW Engineering, Operations, and other key stakeholders to define and deliver complex programs
  • Drive consensus on technical decisions and ensure the appropriate resources are employed to deliver high quality results
  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels
  • Create, maintain and disseminate project information to stakeholders
  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple, disparate groups with competing priorities
  • Develop and drive hardware and or software program schedules that meet the larger program needs
  • Drive programs across all HW disciplines including Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, Safety, Regulatory, HW Test Engineering, SW, Controls
  • Drive program needs across other AR teams including supply chain, technical OPS and manufacturing
  • Develop Functional Requirement Documents for programs based on Product Requirements

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science, or similar area of study
  • 5+ years of experience leading hardware/software projects with aggressive schedules
  • 2+ years of project/program management experience (MS Project experience)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced matrix technical organization
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical individuals
  • Agile/Scrum experience for managing SW work
