Project Kuiper is an initiative aimed at increasing global broadband access through a constellation of 3,236 satellites in low Earth orbit (LEO). The mission of Project Kuiper is to provide fast, affordable broadband to unserved and underserved communities worldwide, thereby helping to close the digital divide. This role is crucial in defining and managing mechanisms that will enable the Site Acquisition team to effectively secure land for ground gateway terrestrial infrastructure globally. The responsibilities include optimizing the end-to-end site acquisition process flows, establishing and enforcing mechanisms to ensure team alignment, and writing papers to secure approval for initiatives that enhance data tracking, storage, and sharing, as well as vendor performance management. In this dynamic role, you will be accountable for establishing, owning, and maintaining mechanisms for team alignment and reporting on progress against goals. You will oversee the Site Acquisition team’s Weekly Business Review (WBR), collaborating with team members to gather input for each cycle. Additionally, you will build and maintain a vendor management scorecard, oversee in-house contractor invoicing and payment, and maintain the team wiki and document repositories. Your focus will also include identifying and recording efficient processes for time and cost management, ensuring consistent adherence across various regions. This position requires a U.S. citizenship due to the need to access certain federal controlled information. The role is intellectually stimulating and involves close collaboration with the Team Manager, Regional Leads, and other GIS stakeholders. You will engage in both direct and indirect aspects of the site acquisition process, consistently seeking ways to elevate team performance, quality, and cost-efficiency. You will work closely with regional teams to collect performance metrics and deliver comprehensive reports on the progress of the infrastructure program across more than 40 countries. This ambitious program demands meticulous program management and steadfast adherence to processes, and we are looking for an individual eager to embrace the challenge and push the boundaries of what is possible.
