About the position

As a Technical Program Manager II in Security at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects focused on enhancing security within Google Cloud. This role involves collaborating with various teams to set the direction for security initiatives, manage project schedules, and communicate effectively with stakeholders. You will analyze data to identify security vulnerabilities and drive programs aimed at reducing risks across multiple domains.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze data to surface high impact programs to reduce security vulnerabilities.
  • Surface recommendations for security improvement across multiple domains.
  • Quantify security risks throughout Google Cloud and identify recurring themes for improvement.
  • Drive a data-driven strategy mindset in the organization and implement programs to reduce risk.
  • Enhance visibility and strengthen communication across teams and with key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience in information security and/or risk management.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
  • Engineering project experience, including cross-functional collaboration to achieve common goals.
  • Experience with cloud engineering practices.
  • Experience with infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes.
  • Understanding of threat modeling, risk assessments, and/or security assessments of systems.
  • Effective communication skills.
