About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the Cloud Chief Information Security Office (CISO). This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to plan project requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners. You will play a crucial role in setting the direction for security in Google Cloud, focusing on product security and driving initiatives to reduce security vulnerabilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish.
• Work with stakeholders to plan requirements and identify risks.
• Manage project schedules and communicate with cross-functional partners.
• Conduct security reviews, education, and vulnerability research.
• Analyze data to surface high impact programs to reduce security vulnerabilities.
• Quantify security risks throughout Google Cloud and suggest improvements.
• Drive a data-driven strategy mindset in the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience managing projects.
• Experience in information security and/or risk management.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience managing cross-functional and/or cross-team projects.
• Engineering project experience, including cross-functional collaboration.
• Experience with cloud engineering practices.
• Experience with infrastructure systems, security assessments, and security processes.
• Understanding of threat modeling, risk assessments, and security assessments of systems.
• Effective communication skills.
