About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to define requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects align with Google's mission to create opportunities for everyone, while also fostering a diverse and inclusive work environment.

Responsibilities

• Guide work with cross-functional execution teams, aligning these teams to existing portfolio artifacts and processes while initializing program management structure, governance, and artifacts to support execution.
• Assist teams to prioritize requirements and identify and drive execution of deliverables, and manage competing priorities.
• Document critical path and dependencies per project and across programs, keeping critical path and dependency artifacts refreshed.
• Build and strengthen relationships with partners and key stakeholders through designed and developed communication channels aiming towards alignment as priorities change.
• Ability to extract and communicate execution progress and risks and automate where possible into reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 2 years of experience in program management.
• Experience working with technical infrastructure or security.

Nice-to-haves

• 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• Experience working with Network Reliability.
