About the position

As a Technical Program Manager II at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects within the iOS Google App team. Your role involves planning requirements, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. You will leverage your technical expertise to drive the technical direction of programs, improve processes, and ensure the seamless integration of features into a cohesive product that meets Google's standards for performance and reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with team members and Software Engineers to understand or identify defined work problems and program goals, obtain prioritized deliverables, and discuss program impact.
  • Prioritize program goals, understand and translate other stakeholders' needs into program goals and prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance, and contribute to decisions on prioritizing goals and deliverables.
  • Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, and/or manage project plans for supported program(s).
  • Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential metric deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
  • Identify, communicate, and collaborate with relevant stakeholders within iOS Google App teams and iOS Google App teams partners to drive impact and work toward mutual goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in software engineering with iOS Applications.

Nice-to-haves

  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with mobile application development, software release management, or software feature prioritization.
