About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners. You will be responsible for launching new memory machines for SAP use cases and delivering a reliability roadmap, while also leading engineering teams to ensure exceptional reliability for systems and driving New Product Introductions (NPIs).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a diverse cross-functional team, spanning all organizational levels and functional areas to develop and deliver programs from inception to production.
  • Set the idea and direction for a program.
  • Drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and consensus.
  • Ensure all leadership/stakeholders are aware of progress/blockers on a continuous basis; drive strategic and tactical decisions throughout all organizations and levels.
  • Enable execution across multiple teams and drive delivery across the complete portfolio of Cloud products and solutions, engage with engineering directors, product leaders, and other groups to streamline processes, simplify execution, manage OKRs, release on time, bring tooling for efficiencies, and help teams in execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in software engineering, hardware engineering, system testing, or new product introduction.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with launching data center products and deployments.
  • Experience running programs and managing teams.
  • Ability to set strategy, navigate ambiguity, and drive short and long-term deliverables.
  • Excellent program management skills with knowledge of distributed systems.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
