About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, utilizing your engineering expertise to manage the entire project lifecycle. This role involves planning requirements with internal customers, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. You will also onboard new partner teams to live testing strategies and contribute to the Privacy Sandbox initiative, which aims to enhance user privacy while supporting digital business development.

Responsibilities

• Prioritize program goals and translate stakeholders' needs into prioritized deliverables with minimal assistance.
• Define the scope of projects and develop, execute, or manage project plans for supported programs.
• Review key metrics pertaining to a program, monitor potential deviations, and define corrective actions for critical deviations.
• Support Privacy Sandbox on Android product quality programs with technical, program management, leadership, and cross-functional coordination.
• Coordinate across multiple testing teams and cross-functional development teams to align release timelines, test schedules, milestones, and set clear expectations about responsibilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5 years of experience in program management.
• Experience with software engineering focused on Android builds or Android application development.

Nice-to-haves

• 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
• 5 years of experience in technical program management in a consumer software industry.
• Experience with Android release processes or with building and setting up quality assurance and system health processes.
