About the position

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects within the Quantum AI division. Your role involves managing the entire project lifecycle, from planning requirements with internal customers to overseeing project schedules and risk management. You will leverage your engineering expertise to drive technical directions, improve processes, and identify future opportunities in the supply chain related to quantum computing.

Responsibilities

  • Manage hardware component and fabrication supply chain, demand forecasting, and inventory management in an industrial mechanical engineering, low-volume manufacturing, prototyping environment.
  • Manage qualification of new vendors and processes and continuous monitoring of ongoing operations.
  • Contribute to Product Life-cycle Management and configuration management of cryogenic hardware.
  • Oversee and provide day-to-day direction to extended team members for inventory management and lab operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience with research protocols and safety regulations in a lab setting.
  • Experience in Supply Chain Planning including aggregating supply/demand and other functions that help plan sourcing, production, and delivery requirements.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional teams in an industry lab (e.g., hardware research facility or semiconductor fabrication).
  • Experience with electronic, RF, semiconductor, or cryogenic materials and properties.
  • Experience with CAD software, using databases for traceability and configuration management.
  • Experience with Product Life-cycle Management and Materials Execution Systems.
