About the position

As a Technical Program Manager III at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from inception to completion. This role requires you to collaborate closely with Engineering and Product teams to develop software products and features in an engineering environment. You will be responsible for planning project requirements, identifying risks, managing schedules, and ensuring clear communication with cross-functional partners across the organization. Your ability to articulate analyses and recommendations to executives, as well as discuss technical trade-offs with engineers, will be crucial to your success in this position. In this role, you will manage multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously, accounting for risk management and mitigation while managing dependencies across various work-streams, functions, and stakeholders. You will lead and drive progress across voice development projects, guiding engineering teams to identify, prioritize, and track tasks to meet completion goals. Additionally, you will streamline development processes to accommodate new technologies based on large language models (LLMs). Navigating project teams through ambiguous and changing priorities will be a key aspect of your role, as you will regularly communicate progress, risks, and plans to leadership. You will partner with leads to understand and shape product direction, ensuring that execution aligns with strategic objectives. Responsibilities

  • Manage multiple, time-sensitive projects simultaneously, accounting for risk management and mitigation.

  • Partner with leads to understand and shape product direction and ensure execution matches.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience collaborating with Engineering and Product teams on software products and feature development in an engineering environment.
  • Experience with Software Development Life-Cycle (SDLC) and working with software developers.

Nice-to-haves

  • 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience developing, launching products, or technologies with LLMs.
  • Experience in linguistics/speech.
