About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Interior Systems at Ford Motor Company is responsible for driving complex engineering projects to completion within the electric vehicle sector. This role involves collaborating with a high-performing team to deliver integrated vehicle interior systems that meet ambitious targets for cost, weight, and efficiency. The position requires a strong technical background and the ability to manage multiple projects while ensuring effective communication and risk management throughout the engineering lifecycle.

Responsibilities

  • Drive engineering teams towards containment and resolution of issues raised from design reviews, virtual builds, and build events to protect the program's schedule to start of production (SOP) and ongoing production.
  • Maintain supplier relationships in collaboration with the Supply Chain team to ensure timely deliveries for build events.
  • Monitor work outputs and deliverables for potential systems and vehicle incompatibilities and opportunities for greater integration, velocity, and collaboration.
  • Ensure problems are transparent and risks are identified and proactively ensure that risk mitigating actions are ongoing within relevant engineering teams.
  • Set agenda for key decisions to be made at each meeting to eliminate bottlenecks and retire risks.
  • Support key decisions working cross-functionally across engineering, finance, and strategy to reach the right conclusions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management in an engineering setting involving hardware development
  • Detailed knowledge of product development process from design, development, validation and integration
  • Knowledge of the materials, processes & technologies used to deliver Interior engineering content
  • Proven experience driving progress on multiple projects across multiple locations and timelines
