The Technical Program Manager IV plays a crucial role in the successful definition, implementation, and delivery of complex programs that necessitate cross-functional collaboration and interdependencies across various projects and related activities. This position is pivotal in ensuring that programs are delivered within the constraints of scope, quality, time, and budget, while also managing multiple moderate-probability, moderate-impact risk factors. The role requires strategic planning at the program level, interaction with executive management, and the ability to resolve complex issues effectively. Excellent communication and team-building skills are essential for success in this position. In this role, the Technical Program Manager will manage a group of internal exempt and matrixed employees and contractors who contribute to the project(s). Responsibilities include overseeing project scope definition and management, requirements gathering and documentation, time estimating, project schedule development and tracking, project budget management, project status reporting, issue and risk management, contingency planning, and customer interaction. The Technical Program Manager will also be responsible for defining, documenting, implementing, and owning the device allocation process, tracker documents, and systems across AR and VR devices for XR Tech. This includes coordinating across XRT work-streams to aggregate device needs and delivery, collaborating with hardware partners on build specifications, and managing device distribution and intake processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong project management skills, a proven ability to learn business processes quickly, and the capability to work effectively with business partners at various organizational levels. A strong ability to assess risk and apply management principles to technology applications and business functions is also essential. Experience in delivering technology and business application solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform systems environment is highly desirable, along with familiarity with the software development lifecycle. The Technical Program Manager IV must demonstrate a bias for action and a sense of urgency in their work.
