About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects that require a blend of technical expertise and leadership skills. Your role involves planning project requirements, managing schedules, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. You will oversee various engineering-specific programs and teams, ensuring that Google's infrastructure remains robust and efficient, ultimately enhancing user experience.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire an organization of technical program managers with an end-to-end ownership mindset.
  • Drive alignment among software engineering, network engineering, and partner organizations spanning Technical Infrastructure.
  • Lead innovation and execution of mission-critical projects, collaborating closely with product teams to understand customer requirements.
  • Build metrics and data quality strategy and process to evaluate the effectiveness of network pricing strategies.
  • Provide oversight of delivery across the complete portfolio of networking pricing initiatives.
  • Navigate complexity and ambiguity to sustain operation of the pricing pipeline amidst frequent architectural and demand changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 10 years of experience in program management.
  • 7 years of experience in leadership roles, with or without direct reports.
  • Experience in telecommunications at carrier-class scale, particularly with optical networks, DWDM, IP, and data services.

Nice-to-haves

  • 10 years of experience managing cross-functional/team projects.
  • 7 years of supervisory experience.
  • Data analysis experience using SQL, Python, or R.
  • Financial analysis experience and familiarity with accounting terms.
  • Ability to define metrics and SLOs that drive team behavior and outcomes.
  • Ability to identify, breakdown, and solve ambiguous and complex process and technical problems.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $214,000-$305,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.
