About the position

The Technical Program Manager (Logistics) / Project Manager will oversee large-scale logistics projects, focusing on improving operational efficiencies and managing technology project plans in alignment with company and vendor software development lifecycles. This role requires a deep understanding of logistics systems and project management methodologies to drive complex programs and ensure successful delivery across various logistics domains.

Responsibilities

  • Drive large complex programs using standard lifecycle program management methodologies.
  • Leverage project management tools like JIRA and Rally to manage complex scopes of work.
  • Lead discussions with business users and product owners to groom business requirements for supply chain and logistics systems.
  • Manage activities for out-of-the-box configuration versus customized extensions in WMOS system.
  • Ensure timely identification and resolution of MOD specifications and design gaps.
  • Manage integration touchpoints between WMOS and upstream/downstream systems.
  • Oversee development and QA of microservices-based interfaces and reports for supply chain systems.
  • Perform financial management of the project including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-benefit analysis.
  • Manage multiple complex projects simultaneously and ensure quality control.
  • Communicate project information to all stakeholders and anticipate strategic impacts to projects.
  • Establish and lead high-performance cross-functional teams and build effective partnerships across the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or master's in Computer Science Applications or equivalent work experience.
  • 10+ years of Project/Program management experience.
  • 8+ years of relevant experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, and Retail.
  • Deep technical understanding of Logistics IT systems and architecture.
  • Experience working with technical developers on deliverables and milestones.
  • Proven experience in managing large programs in the Retail and/or Logistics space.
  • Proficiency in Warehouse Management Systems like Manhattan or relevant packages.
  • Experience in project estimating, budgeting tools, and defect tracking.
  • Ability to create roadmaps and drive progress on projects.
  • Strong analytical abilities and interest in using data to support recommendations.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in SAFe and other relevant Agile proficiency areas.
