About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Maneuver Dominance at Anduril Industries will lead and manage large technical programs focused on developing aerial robotic systems that operate in coordination with ground forces. This role involves overseeing the entire program lifecycle from design to deployment, ensuring effective communication and collaboration across engineering teams and stakeholders, and fostering customer relationships to advance military capabilities with cutting-edge technology.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, manage, and execute large technical programs from early design through technology development, system integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Provide insights into customer needs and develop solutions while ensuring accurate resource accounting and communication.
  • Partner with engineering leaders to drive successful program execution and team velocity across engineering groups.
  • Build trust with teammates, vendors, partners, and customers through effective communication and follow-through.
  • Forge customer relationships and assist in establishing new areas of interest.
  • Execute on broad requirements from internal and external partners to ensure successful delivery of outcomes on multiple programs.
  • Coordinate and execute test events involving software and hardware demonstrations.
  • Manage cross-team projects and instill efficient project management practices across teams.
  • Identify and resolve key cross-team dependencies.
  • Collaborate with partner teams such as hardware, product, and test operations as needed.
  • Remove obstacles to drive clarity and progress, manage issue escalations, and support teams in balancing competing priorities.
  • Understand technical implementation and propose alternatives when necessary, connecting product capabilities with mission requirements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Physics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Program Manager, Senior Program Manager, Technical Product Manager, Engineering Manager, or Engineer.
  • Ability to lead an engineering team in developing and executing contracted and strategic efforts.
  • Experience managing large product deployments, emphasizing supply chain and logistics.
  • Familiarity with unmanned aircraft, autonomous systems, robotics, or related aerospace/defense technologies.
  • Proven experience delivering technology to government organizations or large commercial institutions.
  • Ability to work within organizations with minimal structure and direction.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Solid technical aptitude and understanding of technical designs and software development lifecycle.
  • Strong experience in project management and familiarity with Agile and Waterfall methodologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • 8+ years of experience in a similar role within autonomous systems, robotics, or software development environments.
  • Significant customer-facing experience leading high-profile programs with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Defense Acquisition Processes and related reviews.
  • Experience building software deliverable programs from the ground up.
  • Familiarity with open architecture concepts and interoperability standards.
  • Professional certifications such as CISSP, OSCP, GIAC-PEN, Prosci, SAFe, or PMP.
