About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects, particularly focusing on AI projects related to model quality. Your role involves planning requirements with internal customers, managing project schedules, identifying risks, and communicating effectively with stakeholders. You will leverage your technical expertise to drive project success and enhance model performance, efficiency, and scalability.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects using engineering expertise.
• Plan requirements with internal customers and manage projects through the entire lifecycle.
• Oversee all aspects of project planning, execution, and delivery, ensuring alignment with product strategy.
• Identify potential roadblocks and develop mitigation strategies for successful project outcomes.
• Analyze model performance metrics and identify areas for optimization and enhancement.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance model performance, efficiency, and scalability.
• Maintain a deep understanding of the latest advancements in AI and Machine Learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in program or project management.
• Experience working with AI projects, specifically in Evals, Losses, Data Collection.
• Experience with Large Language Models or model systems.
• Experience working in a startup-like environment.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in core modeling to improve model quality for Large Language Models (LLMs) and Data Governance.
• Experience collaborating with and influencing stakeholders across various functions and geographic locations, especially in ambiguous situations.
