About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the Google Data Centers (GDC). Your role will involve collaborating with stakeholders to plan project requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners. You will be responsible for ensuring that projects align with Google's goals of diversity, equity, and inclusion, while also focusing on building scalable systems and processes that enhance the efficiency of data center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify significant process breakdowns and influence upper management to implement improvement strategies.
  • Develop business process artifacts that provide an end-to-end view of Data Center delivery and depict the operational blueprint of a Data Center.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the team's process standards, guidelines, and lean principles.
  • Utilize analytics and quantitative methods to assess, design, and implement process optimization.
  • Streamline and simplify cross-functional operations to enhance efficiency.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement that translates intent into predictable execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience working in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • Experience in process engineering, focusing on optimization, improvement, and efficiency.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB).
  • 5 years of experience working in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in process engineering related to system architecture, automation, analytics, or capacity delivery.
  • Understanding of data center technologies, comparative analysis, supply chain, or construction-related activities.
