About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you will leverage your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects within the Data Centers division. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to plan project requirements, identify risks, manage schedules, and communicate effectively with cross-functional partners. You will focus on optimizing processes and ensuring that projects align with business objectives, contributing to the innovation and efficiency of Google's data center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Identify significant process breakdowns and influence upper management to implement improvement strategies.
  • Develop business process artifacts that provide an end-to-end view of Data Center delivery and depict the operational blueprint of a Data Center.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the team's process standards, guidelines, and lean principles.
  • Utilize analytics and quantitative methods to assess, design, and implement process optimization.
  • Develop a culture of continuous improvement that translates intent into predictable execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience working in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • Experience in process engineering, focusing on optimization, improvement, and efficiency.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma Black Belt (LSSBB).
  • 5 years of experience in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in process engineering related to system architecture, automation, analytics, or capacity delivery.
  • Understanding of data center technologies, comparative analysis, supply chain, or construction activities.
