About the position

As a Technical Program Manager in Process Engineering at Google Data Centers, you will lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects aimed at optimizing and improving data center operations. Your role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to plan project requirements, manage schedules, and communicate effectively across teams. You will leverage your technical expertise to identify process breakdowns and implement strategies for continuous improvement, ensuring that all projects align with the team's standards and business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Identify significant process breakdowns, influence upper management, and land improvement strategies.
  • Develop business process artifacts that provide an end-to-end view of Data Center delivery, depicting the operational blueprint of a Data Center that provides key insights into process health and performance.
  • Ensure all projects adhere to the team's process standards, guidelines, and lean principles.
  • Utilize analytics and quantitative methods to assess, design, and implement process optimization, streamlining and simplifying cross-functional operations.
  • Develop a process continuous improvement-oriented culture that translates intent to predictable execution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience managing projects.
  • Experience working in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • Experience in process engineering (e.g., optimization, improvement, efficiency).

Nice-to-haves

  • Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Lean Six Sigma
  • Black Belt (LSSBB).
  • 5 years of experience working in data center infrastructure, telecommunications, or construction industries.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in process engineering (e.g., system architecture, automation, analytics or capacity delivery).
  • Understanding of data center technologies, comparative analysis, supply chain or construction related activities.
