About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Product Localization at Netflix is responsible for ensuring that the Netflix experience is effectively localized for international markets. This role involves developing and managing localization strategies, overseeing budgets and schedules, and ensuring high-quality localization standards across various consumer-facing products, including gaming. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage the localization strategy and roadmap for Netflix's consumer-facing products.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams to ensure successful localization.
• Establish and maintain high-quality localization standards throughout the program lifecycle.
• Manage localization pipelines in alignment with business needs and collaborate with other Program Managers.
• Analyze data to identify opportunities for optimizing workflows and addressing customer issues.
• Drive language and feature launches, prioritizing tasks and analyzing large-scale innovation projects.
• Foster relationships with key stakeholders to enhance localization strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Languages, Localization, International Studies, Business Management, Technology Management, Communication Studies, or equivalent experience.
• 10-15+ years of experience in localization program management, particularly in language launches and global software launches.
• 10+ years of production or program management experience at senior levels.
• Ability to lead large-scale technical and cross-functional programs to delivery.
• Solid in-depth knowledge of internationalization and localization is a plus.
• Working knowledge of industry-standard localization tools.
• Fluency in a non-English language is a plus.
• Exposure or experience with gaming products is a plus.
