About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Product Localization at Netflix is responsible for managing the localization strategy and ensuring the successful launch of Netflix's consumer-facing products across international markets. This role involves collaboration with various teams, including Product, Design, and Engineering, to develop and oversee localization processes, budgets, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage the localization strategy and roadmap for Netflix's consumer-facing products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-quality localization standards.
  • Oversee the end-to-end localization program from innovation to quality control.
  • Foster relationships with key stakeholders to align on localization goals.
  • Analyze data to identify opportunities for workflow optimization and address customer issues.
  • Drive language and feature launches, prioritizing tasks based on business needs.
  • Manage localization pipelines in collaboration with other Program Managers and Engineering.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Languages, Localization, International Studies, Business Management, or related fields.
  • 10-15+ years of experience in localization program management, particularly with language launches and global software launches.
  • 10+ years of production or program management experience at senior levels.
  • Ability to lead large-scale technical and cross-functional programs to delivery.
  • Solid knowledge of internationalization and localization processes.
  • Working knowledge of industry-standard localization tools.
  • Fluency in a non-English language is a plus.
  • Experience with gaming products is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in creative content and subtitle localization.
  • Exposure to AB testing and data analysis for international acquisitions.
