About the position

The Technical Program Manager for Project Taara is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing and testing of Wireless Optical Communication (WOC) systems aimed at providing high-speed internet connectivity. This role involves applying engineering principles to ensure sustainability and effective product introduction while managing a fast-paced product development team. The position requires collaboration with various teams to align product development with performance requirements and release schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on the development of system integration and test processes for electronic and photonic subsystems.
  • Drive design for Manufacturing (DFM) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) activities for new product introduction (NPI).
  • Work with contract manufacturers to improve build consistency and reduce cycle time.
  • Translate product launch priorities into engineering impact and provide input on timelines.
  • Develop and track execution plans for internal and external projects, ensuring deliverables are met.
  • Identify and prioritize risks in complex environments across stakeholders.
  • Coordinate communication between projects, cross-functional teams, and leadership.

Requirements

  • BS degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in a Technical Program Manager and Manufacturing Engineering role.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems and PCBA design and manufacturing.
  • Good understanding of optical and photonics subsystems integration and testing.
  • Technical depth in optics, mechanics, and photonics.
  • Effective technical project management skills including project planning and status reporting.
  • Experience managing technical projects with multi-discipline teams.
  • Ability to navigate ambiguity and communicate effectively at all levels.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Semiconductor, Medical, and Telecommunication equipment.
  • Six-sigma or similar certifications.

Benefits

  • Base salary range of $142,000 - $200,000 + bonus + benefits.
