About the position

The AWS Utility Computing (UC) team is seeking an L5 Technical Program Manager (TPM) to support the development and management of various AWS services, including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps. This role focuses on driving the delivery of mandatory services in new AWS regions and Local Zones, collaborating with multiple teams to ensure timely launches while balancing technical constraints and business needs. The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

• Support the development and management of AWS services including Compute, Database, Storage, IoT, and Productivity Apps.
• Drive the delivery of mandatory services in new AWS regions and Local Zones.
• Collaborate with Service Teams, Infrastructure, and Business Development to design and deliver new AWS regions.
• Work with Product Teams to design solutions that efficiently utilize resources and technologies.
• Develop schedules to ensure timely launch of new regions.
• Assess risks and anticipate issues while overcoming technical obstacles.
• Make difficult trade-off decisions balancing business needs and technical constraints.
• Represent program status to senior leadership and influence team decisions.

Requirements

• 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 2+ years of software development experience.
• 3+ years of project management experience including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management.
• Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams and coordinating release schedules.
