About the position

Meta's Reality Labs (RL) is seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) for its Cross-Platform Foundations (XPF) team. The XPF team manages cross-Meta third-party (3P) developer experiences and first-party (1P) developer compliance, supporting 500K 3Ps. This role involves driving strategic technical programs and cross-functional initiatives that shape developer experiences and user interactions. The work is crucial for ensuring Meta's compliance with diverse global regulatory requirements and proactively addressing emerging challenges, enabling billions of dollars in revenue and overseeing 6,000+ APIs across Meta's Family of Apps, many with user data and privacy implications.

Responsibilities

• Drive strategic technical programs and cross-functional initiatives for the XPF team.
• Manage cross-Meta third-party developer experiences and first-party developer compliance.
• Oversee compliance with global regulatory requirements related to user data and privacy.
• Collaborate with product teams to build and deliver end-to-end customer-focused products.
• Establish work relationships across multi-disciplinary teams and multiple partners in different time zones.

Requirements

• B.S. in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
• 10+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, hardware engineering, or technical product/program management experience.
• Experience driving and delivering complex tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
• Experience defining strategic direction and identifying new opportunities for impact amongst products, platforms, and programs.
• Knowledge of user needs, gathering requirements, and defining scope.
• Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams and functions, demonstrating critical thinking and thought leadership.
• Communication experience at the executive level and advising senior leadership and technical management teams.
• Organizational, coordination, and multi-tasking experience.
• Analytical and problem-solving experience with large-scale systems.
• Strong understanding of APIs, software development kits (SDKs), and developer tools.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with API design principles, RESTful APIs, and API security best practices.
