About the position

As a Technical Program Manager/Scrum Master for the Data & Analytics team, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the agile development process and ensuring that the team adheres to Scrum practices. Your primary responsibility will be to work closely with data scientists, analysts, engineers, and stakeholders to deliver valuable data products and insights. This position requires a strong program management background, particularly in managing large global programs using formal methodologies such as Agile and Scrum. You will be tasked with creating comprehensive project plans that encompass scope, schedule, cost, quality, organization, communication, staffing, risk, and issue management. In this role, you will facilitate various Scrum ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint reviews, and retrospectives. You will ensure that the team follows Scrum principles and practices while supporting them in achieving their goals by removing impediments and fostering a productive working environment. Your ability to coach team members on agile best practices and methodologies will be crucial in promoting collaboration and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also serve as a liaison between the Data & Analytics team and stakeholders, facilitating communication and collaboration within the team and across departments. Your responsibilities will include helping the team define and prioritize tasks for each sprint, ensuring high-quality product delivery, and meeting project deadlines. Additionally, you will track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and project progress, providing regular updates to stakeholders on the status of projects and initiatives. Risk management will also be a key aspect of your role, as you will identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure proactive resolution of issues.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that the team delivers high-quality products and meets project deadlines.
  • Encourage a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Conduct regular retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure team performance and project progress.
  • Provide regular updates to stakeholders on the status of projects and initiatives.
  • Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience as a Program Manager managing large global programs.
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent certification.
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master, preferably in a Data & Analytics or software development environment.
  • Strong understanding of agile principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Experience with agile tools such as JIRA, Trello, or similar platforms.

Nice-to-haves

  • 1-2 years of working experience as Business Analyst or Developer.
  • Knowledge in big data, data & analytics, Databricks, SQL, BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, Metrics Insight etc.), streaming technologies.
