About the position

The Technical Program Manager will be responsible for leading the end-to-end implementation of the ServiceNow CMDB system for an Oil and Gas client. This role requires a strong understanding of IT service management, project management, and the unique challenges of the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and external partners to ensure the project is delivered on time, within scope, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of the ServiceNow CMDB implementation project.
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
• Develop and manage detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocations.
• Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of the project.
• Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of the client's IT infrastructure and asset management needs.
• Identify and manage project risks, issues, and dependencies.
• Communicate project status, progress, and challenges to stakeholders and senior management.
• Facilitate workshops and meetings with business and IT stakeholders to gather requirements and provide updates.
• Participate in design workshops, providing technical expertise and ensuring that the design aligns with business requirements.
• Articulate technical concepts clearly and effectively to key project stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
• Oversee the configuration and customization of the ServiceNow platform to meet business requirements.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Provide training and support to end-users and IT staff on the CMDB system.
• Continuously monitor and improve the CMDB processes and data quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in IT project management, with at least 3 years in ServiceNow implementations.
• Proven experience in managing CMDB projects, preferably in the Oil and Gas industry.
• Strong knowledge of ITIL/ITSM processes and best practices.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies is a plus.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
• High level of integrity and professionalism.
