About the position

The Compliance Security and Risk Management (CSRM) team is dedicated to ensuring the physical protection of individuals and assets that support Google's Data Centers and global critical infrastructure. As a member of this team, you will play a crucial role in fostering a culture where safety, security, and resiliency are embedded in every aspect of Google's operations, including the creative processes. Your responsibilities will include the continuous identification, evaluation, and monitoring of enterprise risks that could impact business activities. You will provide essential information to business leaders, enabling them to make informed decisions regarding risk management and operational security. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to devise innovative strategies and develop industry-leading programs aimed at enhancing sustainable effectiveness. Your work will directly contribute to the security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response related to the cyber security of Data Center Operational Technology (OT). You will lead a comprehensive program focused on quantifying and mitigating cyber risks associated with Data Center systems, ensuring that all program elements align with the business's risk appetite. Additionally, you will work closely with various partners to create and implement sustainable programs for vulnerability management and incident response, supporting OT Cyber operations. This position is integral to maintaining the security and integrity of Google's critical infrastructure, and it requires a proactive approach to managing risks in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

  • Be responsible for security operations, vulnerability management, and incident response aspects of the cyber security of DC Operational Technology (OT).
  • Lead an effective program quantifying and reducing cyber risks to the DC systems.
  • Liaise across all of 24x7 operations, ATI, and DC Operations to ensure the program elements are in line with the business risk appetite.
  • Work with partners to create and deliver a program that develops sustainable programs for vulnerability management and incident response.
  • Work with partners to support OT Cyber operations, vulnerability management, and incident response.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience managing operational technology projects from evaluation to design and execution.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with security systems or a related field.
  • Experience creating Business and Product Requirements Documents (BRD & PRD) and understanding success metrics.
  • Experience with emerging physical security system technologies and trends.
  • Experience with information security or emerging physical security system technologies and trends.
  • Experience working across a distributed, and highly integrated team composed of both technical and non-technical members.
