About the position

The Regional Program Manager will oversee personnel and operations within a district for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Office of Information Technology (OIT) Transformation Support Services (TSS). This role focuses on providing IT enterprise service operations, including program management, technical support, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery. The manager will lead a team of over 100 staff members, ensuring operational efficiency and maintaining strong customer relationships while managing cybersecurity remediation services.

Responsibilities

  • Manage personnel within one district for the VA Office of Information Technology (OIT) Transformation Support Services.
  • Lead a team to provide IT enterprise service operations, including program management and cybersecurity support.
  • Establish and deploy IT resources of 100+ staff members.
  • Forge relationships with OIT division leaders and other contracting leads across VA's multi-vendor environment.
  • Present strategies, objectives, risks, and timelines to achieve OIT ISO objectives.
  • Review trends of ISO actions to support continuous improvement.
  • Provide thought leadership to VA in progressing their CRISP program.
  • Identify opportunities to address material weakness findings and vulnerabilities.
  • Capture and report on performance metrics for CRISP functions.
  • Document VA requests and develop materials to respond to these requests.
  • Execute change and resource management processes that integrate with the multi-district CRISP program governance processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in business, engineering, or a related scientific or technical discipline.
  • 12+ years of experience in a related field.
  • ITIL v3 Expert, ITIL v4 MP, PMP, or PgMP certification required.
  • 5+ years of experience managing security remediation and configuration.
  • 3+ years of experience in managing network/system/application vulnerability scanning and security patching.
  • Experience managing a technical staff of 100+ team members.
  • Experience supporting a Government agency, preferably Veterans Affairs.

Nice-to-haves

  • Significant experience with infrastructure upgrades and/or IT incident management.
  • Active VA access including assigned CAG and PIV.
