About the position

The Technical Program Manager on the Vision Pro team at Apple will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the delivery of top-quality products and operational excellence. This role involves working closely with design, quality, test, and global supply managers to drive perfection in product introduction and manufacturing processes. The position requires a deep understanding of manufacturing trade-offs and the ability to provide feedback to enhance product design and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure top-quality products.
  • Work in the new product introduction group to drive perfection in product quality.
  • Provide DFA feedback to cross-functional teams based on manufacturing trade-offs.
  • Oversee factory set-up and technical operational functions associated with manufacturing.
  • Design processes for assembly, automation, testing, and yield optimization.
  • Prepare executive-level status reports and presentations.
  • Implement scalable and sustainable mass-production processes.
  • Analyze data and implement quality improvement measures.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in engineering and manufacturing.
  • Ability to travel internationally 20-25%.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in introducing products into high-volume manufacturing and working with international OEMs.
  • Excellent project management skills, particularly in planning, cost, and delivery.
  • Experience in a matrixed organization.
  • Experience in developing or commissioning custom assembly.
  • Direct experience leading functional engineering teams such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Packaging Engineering.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in a global environment.
  • Understanding of tolerance stack-ups for assemblies and part levels.
  • Strong knowledge of GD&T principles.
  • Working knowledge of pneumatics, servomotors, PLC, and PC-based control systems.
  • Experience with JMP, Minitab, and Six Sigma.
