About the position

The Technical Program Manager at Flex will play a crucial role in driving the design, validation, and implementation of innovative product solutions. This position requires collaboration with various teams, including Operations, Quality, and Engineering, to meet customer requirements and ensure successful product development. The role involves defining product requirements, assessing new product opportunities, and leading program teams to achieve strategic objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the execution of product development and contribute technical expertise to product development.
  • Coordinate the development of new technologies with technical program engineers, ensuring program timing and budgets are met.
  • Define products in markets including consumer, industrial, medical, digital health, automotive, enterprise and cloud computing, IoT, etc.
  • Identify and assess new product opportunities and initiatives for customer designs and white label products.
  • Work closely with design engineering to extract and develop core product features-advantages-benefits information to support the product marketing strategy.
  • Translate customer's technical needs and requirements to the NPI and CFT teams.
  • Establish and ensure effective achievement of functional strategic plans and objectives for the site, potentially with P&L responsibilities.
  • Develop plans for structuring and implementing major initiatives.
  • Lead program team, including regular team meetings and updates to management.

Requirements

  • Typically requires 8-10 years of related experience.
  • 2+ years in a supervisory role (regulated industry experience preferred).
  • Engineering degree preferred (strong preference for Industrial Engineering).
  • Demonstrates functional, technical skills as well as a customer service attitude (external and internal).
  • Experience working with Medical device manufacturing.
  • Teamwork participation to enable project improvement.
  • PMP certification highly preferred.
  • Ability to mentor and grow team members.
  • Knowledge of Minitab a plus.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours when needed.
  • Comprehends the strategic & tactical impact of the function across sites.
  • Demonstrates good level knowledge of Industrial Engineering Lean & Six Sigma methodology (Black Belt preferred).
  • Demonstrates detailed expertise in very complex situations and multiple areas.
