About the position

Anduril Industries is seeking a Technical Program Manager to join our Maritime team in Quincy, Massachusetts. The Technical Program Manager will play a crucial role in leading the development, testing, deployment, and sustainment of the Anduril Maritime Fleet, which operates in challenging environments worldwide. This position requires a technical leader who can manage multiple sophisticated projects simultaneously, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic direction while balancing innovation and practical execution. In this role, you will work closely with a multidisciplinary team of engineers and specialists throughout the lifecycle of Autonomous Underwater Vehicles (AUVs), from integration and testing to verification and demonstration. You will be responsible for ensuring successful program execution, adhering to requirements, schedules, and budgets. Your technical ownership will involve a deep understanding of system performance, managing incident responses, and using metrics to identify areas for improvement. You will also be tasked with project planning, including scope development, risk management, and schedule maintenance. Additionally, you will provide contract management support, ensuring that all deliverables are met and communicated effectively to customers. Engaging with Department of Defense (DoD) and U.S. Navy customers, you will represent the technical aspects of the Maritime portfolio and serve as the voice of the customer for follow-on business capture efforts. The role also involves leading test events, generating test plans, and supporting logistics for offshore AUV testing, with travel requirements of approximately 25-40%.

Responsibilities

  • Work within a team of multidisciplinary engineers and specialists throughout the life of AUV through integration, test, verification, and demonstration efforts.
  • Ensure successful execution of programs in accordance with desired requirements, on schedule, and on budget.
  • Drive technical outcomes through meticulous understanding of system performance, managing incident response and after-action, using metrics to derive insights into areas for improvement.
  • Develop project scope and manage changes through the life of the project, identifying, tracking, and managing project risks.
  • Provide contract management support including statements of work, change orders, financial management, terms and conditions, data rights assertions, etc.
  • Autonomously execute on broad and/or ambiguous requirements from external clients, demonstrating high ownership on all pieces of work.
  • Interface with DoD/USN customers and represent the technical aspects of the Maritime portfolio.
  • Support the Engineering team in integration, testing, and debug in a high-paced environment, leading formal testing efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in systems engineering or related field and a passion for hardware development.
  • 7+ years of robotics experience, specifically in technical project management and/or systems engineering, or related project management and/or systems engineering experience in a relevant industry.
  • Experience leading or executing product development of any type of system from TRL 3-8.
  • Understanding of government contract structure and reporting.
  • Extremely organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance.
