Responsibilities

  • Responsible for all phases of the contract lifecycle including proposal development, staffing, development of plans and schedules, project management and control, conducting formal tests, financial management and forecasting, project reviews, quality, customer relationships, reporting to customers and RRC management, and long-term product support.
  • May be responsible for one or more projects that may, or may not be interrelated; and may, or may not serve the same customer.
  • Capable of functioning as a Systems Engineer by leading technical teams through system architecture creation, design, development, testing, requirements generation, and verification and validation of emerging systems to enable multi-domain operations.
  • Assist Rincon Research Corporation's Advanced Systems Business Unit (ASBU) and Vice President (VP) for developing and leading personnel, creative problem solving, and successful delivery of advanced signal processing and software systems.
  • Help develop strategic technology goals to continue current success in developing leading technologies to solve mission critical problems, and participate in business development activities that include leading and/or authoring contract proposals.

Requirements

  • B.S. in electrical engineering, physics, computer science or mathematics
  • Professional certification in project management with verifiable successful program management experience
  • Experience with creating plans and schedules
  • Experience with resource and financial forecasting
  • Experience building and leading technical teams
  • Experience with risk management
  • Experience with program life cycle leadership
  • Experience communicating technical concepts to a broad range of technical audience members
  • ACTIVE TS/SCI SECURITY CLEARANCE
  • US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED

Nice-to-haves

  • M.S. or higher in engineering, physics, computer science, or mathematics
  • PMP certification
  • DoD Level 2 Certification in Acquisition Test & Evaluation
  • DoD Certification in Acquisition Program Management, and/or Program Management Professional certification
  • Verifiable military and/or commercial space systems operation, acquisition, development, test and integration experience
  • Experience writing proposals
