About the position

KLA is a global leader in diversified electronics for the semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem, and we are seeking a highly skilled individual to join our team as a Project Manager in the Film and Scatterometry Technology (FaST) Division. This position is pivotal in managing the development of next-generation optical metrology products that are essential for advanced process control in semiconductor manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment, with direct experience in metrology or inspection. You will be responsible for overseeing project planning, risk management, and cross-functional coordination to ensure successful project execution and delivery. In this role, you will develop comprehensive project plans that include scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with the division's goals and objectives. You will also identify potential risks and issues early in the project lifecycle and implement effective mitigation strategies to minimize their impact on project timelines and deliverables. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, service, marketing, and other team members to facilitate clear communication and ensure that project results meet or exceed customer expectations. As a subject matter expert in semiconductor manufacturing processes and metrology, you will provide mentorship and support to project teams as needed. Building and maintaining strong relationships with customers will be crucial, as you will need to understand their requirements and expectations to ensure project success. Responsibilities

  • Develop project plans including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with division goals and objectives.
  • Identify potential risks and issues early in the project life cycle, implementing effective mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and deliverables.
  • Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, service, marketing, and other team members to ensure project execution and timely delivery.
  • Facilitate clear and transparent communication among project team members, stakeholders, and senior management, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and mitigation plans.
  • Serve as a subject matter authority on semiconductor manufacturing processes and/or metrology, providing mentorship and support to project teams as needed.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their requirements and expectations to ensure that project results meet or exceed their needs.

Requirements

  • Doctorate (Academic) Degree and related work experience of 3 years;
  • Master's Level Degree and related work experience of 6 years;
  • Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 8 years;
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor manufacturing processes and equipment;
  • Direct experience in metrology or inspection.
