About the position

The Technical Program Manager will focus on consumer software and vendor management for a leading Consumer Audio Equipment manufacturer. This role requires strong technical and leadership skills, as the candidate will work closely with the client leadership team and external System on Chip (SoC) vendors. The position demands a deep understanding of embedded software architecture and the ability to guide development teams and vendors in creating optimal solutions for the client's products.

Responsibilities

• Deep dive technically with teams on software design and implementation details to guide all software functional teams.
• Possess knowledge and experience in real-time embedded OS design, concurrent programming, Bluetooth, audio, SoC architecture, and software/hardware interfaces.
• Manage the SoC and software engineering processes in the embedded industry, including tape-out, bring-up, versioning, CI/CD, branching strategy, and regression tests.
• Communicate strategically with SoC vendors, providing the right level of information based on context for the client's benefit.
• Lead software project management efforts, tracking actions and activities, and ensuring proper follow-up with all teams and leaders.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in technical program management with a focus on consumer software.
• Strong vendor management experience, particularly with external System on Chip vendors.
• Deep technical knowledge in embedded software architecture, design, and implementations.
• Experience with real-time embedded OS design, concurrent programming, Bluetooth, audio, SoC architecture, and software/hardware interfaces.
• Familiarity with software engineering processes in the embedded industry, including tape-out, bring-up, versioning, CI/CD, and regression tests.
