The Technical Program Manager at Autodesk plays a crucial role in guiding collaborative, cross-organizational programs within the Enterprise Systems and Experience team. The role emphasizes a product-led discovery model and agile practices to deliver value efficiently, while also addressing technical, business, and user concerns.

Responsibilities

  • Manage scope, schedule, and budget for complex enterprise programs with heavy cross-functional participation.
  • Support the transition to a product-led discovery model that drives agile and iterative engineering practices.
  • Follow overall structure and governance for enterprise projects to ensure delivery of committed outcomes.
  • Develop and deliver a holistic project communications plan and project status communications without oversight.
  • Facilitate data-driven decision-making with appropriate domain expertise and project governance.
  • Present clear options and recommendations to a senior audience.
  • Represent technical, business, and customer/user concerns.
  • Identify, mitigate risks, and manage issues to resolution.
  • Guide course corrections for deliveries by connecting with the right people at the right time.
  • Assist in the removal of tactical and organizational impediments and manage daily activity issues.
  • Adapt project plans to changing conditions.
  • Ensure projects align with high-level business objectives and challenge defined outcomes.
  • Improve processes and identify new program management opportunities.
  • Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.

Requirements

  • BA, BS, or equivalent in Business, Computer Science, or Engineering.
  • 4 to 8 years of applicable technical project management experience, preferably in Sales, Marketing, or Customer Support organizations.
  • Familiarity with Agile work patterns such as scrum and kanban.
  • Very strong communication skills and exceptional planning skills.
