About the position

The New College Grad Role at Oracle is designed for recent graduates or current students pursuing a BS, MS, or PhD, with a target start date in June/July 2025. This position aims to attract early-career talent to work within the Database Technologies organization, enhancing their learning experience and providing opportunities to make a significant impact. The role involves collaboration with the Oracle Database Developer Relations Team, which focuses on promoting Oracle Database products through various technical content and events.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Database Developer Relations Team to create technical content, demos, and applications.
  • Participate in the development of promotional materials for Oracle Database products.
  • Engage with developers through conferences, virtual events, and partnerships with universities and coding bootcamps.
  • Manage web content and SEO strategies for Database products.
  • Support the organization of developer-focused programs to facilitate the use of Oracle Database.

Requirements

  • Graduated with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, Management Information Systems, Business Analytics, or a related field within 12 months of the start date.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate abstract ideas clearly.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and escalate issues as necessary.
  • Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, Java, React, and open-source technologies.
  • Experience with Confluence and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proactive attitude with strong time management skills to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
  • Experience with SQL or Oracle Database is preferred.
  • Completion of at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience.
