About the position

As a Technical Program Manager at Gainwell, you will play a crucial role in leveraging technology to enhance health and human services outcomes for vulnerable communities. This position involves managing software development projects using Agile methodologies, leading project teams, and ensuring timely delivery of product releases while collaborating with various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in keeping projects moving to deliver better health and human services outcomes through technology and innovation.
  • Manage software development SDLC using Agile methodology.
  • Lead one or more large project management teams by breaking down bigger technological programs and assisting with project staffing.
  • Identify and mitigate impediments to project progress.
  • Identify resource needs and manage scope, resources, and priorities.
  • Manage all aspects of work to achieve milestones and product release dates.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Module Leaders, Product Owners, Release Train Engineers, and scrum teams globally to ensure quality and timely delivery of product releases, patches, and change requests.
  • Lead a software engineering team of cross-functional individual contributors.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders on deliverables, routine tasks, and escalations.
  • Report on work status and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs); conduct Root Cause Analysis to improve team behaviors and processes.
  • Coordinate with other leaders to identify and address cross-module gaps.
  • Create and implement project definitions, schedules, and objectives for projects.
  • Determine the need for and impact of changes in project scope and make recommendations based on determinations.
  • Gain concurrence, approval, and consensus from stakeholders regarding various project aspects.
  • Manage schedules and quality by overseeing project deliverables.
  • Perform ongoing review of project status; identify project risks and develop, recommend, and implement risk mitigation solutions as approved and appropriate.
  • Interface with team members and stakeholders to anticipate and manage changes to projects.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of Project/Program Management experience.
  • 5+ years of scaled Agile methodology and tools experience.
  • 3+ years of experience as a Software Developer/Engineer/Architect.
  • 5+ years of experience managing IT resources.
  • Ability to clearly communicate project priorities and motivate direct and indirect networks and stakeholders to action.
