About the position

As a Technical Program/Project Manager at KLA, you will play a pivotal role in the Broadband Plasma Division (BBP), which is renowned for its market-leading patterned wafer optical inspection systems. This position requires you to manage the development of software solutions for various wafer inspection systems and product offerings. You will collaborate with a highly integrated multi-disciplinary team of software, systems, applications, and algorithm engineers to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of quality and performance. Your responsibilities will include working closely with various multi-functional engineering and business teams, as well as customers, to document product requirements, integrate features, and validate our differentiated solutions. You will be responsible for planning and managing breakthroughs, feature interdependencies, project schedules, and the overall quality of the product work you are overseeing. Assessing and evaluating risks will be crucial, as you will need to implement project work with the urgency required to deliver significant business value. Effective communication and collaboration with global teams—including marketing, engineering, manufacturing, service, field teams, and customers—will be essential to resolve product issues and support revenue and profit realizations. You will also need to demonstrate business insight, understanding the value proposition and feature capabilities of our solutions in the marketplace. Leading taskforces, facilitating technical discussions, and appreciating key design decisions and underlying software architectures will be part of your daily activities. In this role, you will actively contribute to integrating software and hardware solutions that meet product and engineering specifications and requirements. You will lead, encourage, empower, and influence team members to achieve excellence in quality, reliability, usability, and capability. Addressing conflicts and removing impediments for the team to focus on improvement activities will also be part of your responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage development of software solutions for various wafer inspection systems and product offerings.
  • Work with various multi-functional engineering and business teams; and with customers to document product requirements, integrate features, and validate solutions.

  • Assess, evaluate risks, and implement project work with urgency to deliver business value.

  • Demonstrate business insight with a clear understanding of value proposition and feature capabilities.
  • Drive taskforces and hold effective technical discussions with engineers.

Requirements

  • Technical Program/Project Management experience or Engineering Management experience or Technical Leadership in software-enabled products or solutions required.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 5 years practical experience.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related field with at least 3 years practical experience.
  • Strong leadership, critical thinking, effective communication, presentation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience with New Product Introduction or Product Development from inception to delivery.
  • Experience articulating progress and impact through relevant key performance indicators.
  • Familiarity with Agile, Iterative, and Waterfall development methodologies.
  • Ability to work well with various customers and influence teams without direct authority.

Nice-to-haves

  • PMP or Agile certifications is a plus.
  • Familiarity with semiconductor industry and wafer fabrication process flow is a plus.
