About the position

The Technical Project Administrator at Sigma Technologies plays a crucial role in supporting internal project teams by managing administrative tasks related to technical projects. This position involves preparing project packages, coordinating activities, and ensuring timely communication among team members to facilitate project success. The role requires proficiency in CAD software and strong organizational skills to track project milestones and manage documentation effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare packages for use by Field Techs, Drafters, and Designers from initial inquiry through processing and final design or permitting.
  • Assist Supervisors and Project Engineers in coordinating project activities and tracking project milestones.
  • Update and maintain production, metrics, and milestone/schedule reports from Excel and data management systems.
  • Track, audit, and report the status of work orders and permits.
  • Understand and edit 2-D Civil type designs in CAD plan and profile views.
  • Research Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ), Right of Way (ROW), and Easements for all permits required for each project.
  • Provide high-quality, efficient service with a focus on helpfulness and teamwork.
  • Collaborate with co-workers and clients to devise best solutions for project challenges.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
  • 2+ years of experience in an administrative capacity.
  • 1 year or more of CAD experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read CAD plans and profile drawings.
  • Computer literate, especially in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Ability to learn and operate proprietary software and other computer systems.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Katapult software.
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures in administrative support.
