About the position

The Project Coordinator at Acuative Corporation plays a crucial role in supporting an assigned Project Manager across multiple projects that vary in size, complexity, and duration. The Project Coordinator will be involved in various aspects of project management, including lifecycle support, service delivery, and task execution. The role demands a proactive attitude to ensure positive outcomes for both the company and its clients, necessitating independent project planning and teamwork within a dynamic project environment. Key responsibilities include providing support throughout the project lifecycle, from initiation and planning to execution, monitoring, and closing. The Project Coordinator will facilitate collaboration with sales and business operations to ensure smooth project onboarding and will engage in internal discussions to gather functional requirements. Additionally, the role involves preparing and maintaining accurate reports on project health indicators, which encompass scope, schedule, cost, quality, resources, communication, risk, procurement, and stakeholder engagement. The Project Coordinator will also assist in project closure activities, including final reporting, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer, ensuring that all documentation is archived appropriately. Exceptional communication skills are essential, as the Project Coordinator must articulate project details clearly in both verbal and written formats. The role encourages problem escalation and promotes strong working relationships across project teams, fostering consensus and collaboration. The Project Coordinator will also be expected to take on additional duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of the projects and the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager throughout the project lifecycle including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closing.
  • Facilitate project onboarding activities in collaboration with sales and business operations.
  • Engage in internal discussions to collect functional requirements and requests.
  • Prepare and maintain clear and accurate activity and dashboard reports using established milestone and deliverable criteria.
  • Assist in project closure activities including final reporting, lessons learned, and knowledge transfer.
  • Encourage and support problem escalation within the project team.
  • Promote good working relationships and build consensus across the project team.

Requirements

  • College coursework or an Associate's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • 2+ years of experience in Project Coordinator roles supporting mid to large projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate skills in Excel.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • Project Management Certificate or Project Management Professional (PMP) certification in good standing.
  • 4+ years of experience in Project Coordinator roles supporting mid to large projects.
  • Experience with deployment in information technology or telecommunications.
