About the position

The Technical Project Manager 3 at Navarro Research and Engineering will oversee and ensure the timely completion of technical and operational projects for the Los Alamos National Laboratory. This role involves establishing project requirements, defining deliverables, managing schedules, and communicating risks. The position requires a strong focus on project oversight, including the development and evaluation of program policies and procedures, as well as providing technical advice to various stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Manage and ensure the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects.
• Establish technical requirements for projects and define project deliverables.
• Communicate project schedules and risks to stakeholders.
• Oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring alignment with customer requirements.
• Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies and procedures.
• Determine program enhancements and provide technical advice to staff and other departments.
• Perform management assessments and causal analysis related to project performance.
• Track and trend Performance Assurance data and develop relevant metrics.
• Prepare and deliver performance status communications to all levels of management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 years supporting a Category II Nuclear Facility.
• Experience in Corrective Action Management.
• Experience supporting event investigations, critiques, root cause analysis, and effectiveness reviews.
• Documented experience in management assessments and performance assurance data tracking.
• Ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.
• Strong communication skills for delivering performance status updates.
