About the position

The Technical Project Manager 3 at Compa Industries Inc. is responsible for managing and ensuring the timely completion of technical or operational projects. This role involves establishing technical requirements, defining project deliverables, schedules, and communicating risks. The TPM will oversee projects from initiation to completion, ensuring they meet customer requirements and programmatic needs. The position requires a strong focus on developing and nurturing effective relationships with internal and external customers, as well as providing technical advice and support to staff and other departments.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and ensure the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects.
  • Establish technical requirements for projects and define project deliverables and schedules.
  • Communicate risks associated with projects and oversee them from planning to execution.
  • Contribute to the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Determine program enhancements and provide technical advice to staff and other departments.
  • Perform management assessments, causal analysis, and track Performance Assurance data.
  • Develop Performance Assurance metrics and prepare performance status communications for management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of eight years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in the Department of Energy.
  • At least 5 years of experience supporting a Category II Nuclear Facility.
  • Documented experience in management assessments and causal analysis.
  • Ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor team efforts to completion.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prior experience with Department of Energy supporting D&D, environmental restoration, and 413.3B construction projects.
  • Experience in customer relationship management (CRM).
  • Skills in planning, evaluation, and design of experiments.
