About the position

The Technical Project Manager 4 position at UCI Health is a pivotal role that involves leading and overseeing major concurrent complex projects from initiation through implementation. The incumbent will manage the project's framework processes and methodologies, which involve coordinating departmental or cross-functional teams. This role requires meticulous planning, coordination, and monitoring of various project elements including scope, requirements, schedules, budgets, resources, tasks, risks, staff, and deliverables. The project manager will be responsible for monitoring the project from its initiation through to completion, ensuring that all activities related to the management and completion of projects are organized and led effectively. In this role, the project manager will be expected to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and proven abilities in managing large and complex projects. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is essential. The successful candidate will be persuasive, encouraging, and motivating, with a strong focus on customer service. The position requires a minimum of 7 years of experience in Information Systems, including at least 5 years of large project/program management experience specifically in a healthcare environment. Additionally, the candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of project management experience in an Information Systems context. Exceptional skills in report writing and making technical presentations are crucial, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. The ability to manage multiple fast-paced technical projects while maintaining an appropriate work pace is essential. Candidates must also demonstrate strong time management and organizational skills, as well as the ability to prioritize and execute tasks effectively in a high-pressure environment. A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or a combination of education and equivalent work experience, is required.

Responsibilities
