About the position

The Technical Project Manager 4 is responsible for managing and ensuring the timely completion of discrete technical or operational projects. This role involves establishing technical requirements for the project, defining project deliverables, schedules, and communicating risks. The Technical Project Manager will oversee a project from its planning phase through tracking and execution, ensuring that all aspects are completed from initiation to completion. Projects managed by this position consist of a set of related activities aimed at producing specific products or services that meet customer requirements. In this role, the Technical Project Manager 4 will define the objectives necessary to meet specific programmatic needs and produce the work products as defined by the work assignments. The position functions in an oversight capacity, contributing to the development, implementation, and evaluation of program policies, procedures, and standards. The Technical Project Manager will also determine program enhancements and provide technical advice to staff and other departments, performing related work as required. Candidates are preferred to have prior experience with the Department of Energy (DOE), particularly in supporting Decontamination and Decommissioning (D&D), environmental restoration, and 413.3B construction projects. The ability to develop and nurture effective high-level internal and external customer relationships is crucial, as is the capability to perform management assessments. Successful candidates will demonstrate the ability to plan, organize, lead, and monitor a wide variety of team efforts to completion, as well as prepare and deliver performance status communications to all levels of management, both internal and external.

Responsibilities
