About the position

TechMahindra Network Services is seeking a highly skilled Technical Project Manager to lead the development of an OSS framework for the rollout of 5G technology. This role requires a proven team leader with extensive experience in managing complex projects that involve multiple teams. The successful candidate will work within the Xfinity 5G OSS team, leading agile development efforts that involve coordination with various internal and external teams to evolve a complex OSS platform. This platform will be integrated with various EMS and inventory systems as it comes to life. The Technical Project Manager will be responsible for project managing the development of the OSS platform, focusing on continuous improvements across several solutions, including Configuration Management, Performance Management, Fault Management, and AWS Infrastructure. The role also involves integrating multiple EMS systems and practicing DevOps methodologies such as Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Microservices, Infrastructure as Code, Monitoring and Logging, and fostering effective communication and collaboration among teams. In addition to technical leadership, the Project Manager will engage with engineers to identify opportunities for improvement, build new controls into the platform to detect faults, and enhance performance. The role requires leading and managing outsourced DevOps teams, building relationships with partners, and aligning vendor OSS roadmaps with the project build. The Project Manager will also be responsible for managing project status and information through formal briefings, project update meetings, and various reporting formats.

Responsibilities

• Lead the agile development of the OSS platform involving multiple vendors and teams.
• Project manage the development of the OSS platform with continuous improvements in Configuration Management, Performance Management, Fault Management, and AWS Infrastructure.
• Integrate multiple EMS systems into the OSS platform.
• Practice DevOps methodologies including Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, Microservices, and Infrastructure as Code.
• Engage with engineers to identify opportunities and build controls for fault detection and performance improvement.
• Lead and manage outsourced DevOps teams effectively.
• Build relationships with partners and align vendor OSS roadmaps with the project build.
• Manage project status and information through briefings, meetings, and reports.

Requirements

• 10+ years of related experience in telecom project management.
• Bachelor's degree in Business or Technology related field.
• PMP Certification is a plus.
• Agile certifications are a plus.
• Proven experience as a Scrum Master or DevOps Architect/Engineer.
• Experience with OSS vendors such as Nokia, Samsung, Airspan, and Ericsson.
• Previous experience as a developer or architect with wireless OSS platforms.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to explain complex business concepts to engineers and technical roadmaps to business leaders.

Nice-to-haves

• AWS experience (VPC, EC2, EMR, RDS, DynamoDB, etc.)
• Data Visualization skills, particularly with Tableau.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Bash, PHP, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with open-source applications like Redis, Kibana, and Grafana.
• Expertise in Excel for data extraction and visualization.
• Experience with business intelligence tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) for data storytelling.
• SQL expertise.
