About the position

The Technical Project Manager will oversee various IT projects for Virginia's Community Colleges (VCCS), primarily in a remote capacity with occasional on-site meetings. The role involves planning, executing, and managing project deliverables while ensuring effective communication among stakeholders to meet the needs of the VCCS community. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in leading technical enterprise system projects, particularly with PeopleSoft and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and oversee project deliverables for various IT projects.
• Coordinate project timelines and ensure resource allocation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to meet project goals.
• Manage project updates and run steering committee meetings.
• Facilitate effective communication among team members and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Active PMP certification is required.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with enterprise software ERP systems, specifically PeopleSoft.
• Experience leading technical enterprise system projects for at least 6 years.
• Proficiency in Agile project management methodology for at least 6 years.
• Proof of current residence in Richmond, VA is required.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with the VA state Cardinal system is a plus.
• Prior experience with PeopleSoft HCM (version 9.2) is desired.
