About the position

Kadiak, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager with an active Top Secret Clearance to support Kadiak and our government customer at Andrews Air Force Base, MD. The Technical Project Manager will provide acquisition support, engineering, and technical project management of complex fixed and mobile communications modernization projects. This role requires daily interaction with Government representatives and a strong understanding of Federal and agency acquisition regulations and directives, as well as the Federal acquisition lifecycle. The Project Manager will be responsible for developing Acquisition Plans (APs), reviewing and/or developing Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Objectives (SOO), and conducting market research to inform project decisions. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in Federal Government management, operations, and contracts, along with familiarity with Federal regulations and directives. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint, is essential. The Project Manager will prepare and coordinate the development of program briefing charts, such as Director's Internal Program Review (DIPR), and provide support in the development of documentation and briefings required for milestones and decision reviews for the program. This includes providing technical and/or administrative support during meetings, evaluating meeting results, and managing staffing assignments on a Knowledge Management (KM) system. The role demands excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to work effectively in a team environment, and strong leadership abilities. The Project Manager must be able to motivate team members, exhibit flexibility, and manage multiple tasks efficiently. A basic knowledge of supply chain activities and good time management skills are also required to meet project schedules and orders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide acquisition support for complex fixed and mobile communications modernization projects.
  • Develop Acquisition Plans (APs) and review/develop Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and Statements of Objectives (SOO).
  • Conduct market research to inform project decisions.
  • Prepare and coordinate the development of program briefing charts, such as Director's Internal Program Review (DIPR).
  • Support the development of documentation and briefings required for milestones and decision reviews.
  • Provide technical and/or administrative support during meetings and evaluate meeting results, including preparation of meeting reports.
  • Manage and coordinate staffing assignments on a Knowledge Management (KM) system.

Requirements

  • Must possess a current active Top Secret clearance based on a T5/T5R investigation concluded within the past 48 months, and be SCI eligible.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Products (Microsoft Project, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel).
  • Program Management Certification: Threshold is PMP; Objective is DAWIA; both would be optimal.
  • Significant knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, and SharePoint.
  • Familiarity with Federal regulations and directives.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • Knowledge of Federal Government management, operations, and contract experience.
  • Familiarity with Government-wide contract vehicles and procedures.
